Twisties are not working as expected

For me twisties are not working as expected. I checked in Firefox 3.6.13, Chrome and Windows Internet Explorer 8.

Suppose I am in By Author Category and clicked on twistie to view documents created by Bruce Elgort. But the documents don't appear even though the twistie get expanded. Now I click on another twistie, lets say Dan OConnor. Now the documents created by Dan OConnor will appear as well as documents created by Bruce Elgort under Bruce Elgort.

This is happening for all categories.

In summary to expand a single twistie you need at least another twistie in expand mode.

How did you fix it?

I am seeing similar in my app. If I set expandlevel to 1 then the view is collapsed but upon clicking to open a category It show not docs, if I close and reopen the docs of that category show. (If I leave expandLevel blank everything defaults to expanded)

Note: I am use 8.5.3 and the Ext Lib
